(1) In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the Definitions. subject or context,— (a) "Authority" means a Valuation Authority constituted under section 27; (b) "Board" means the Central Valuation Board established under section 4; (c) "Calcutta" means Calcutta as defined in the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951; (d) "Chandernagore" means Chandernagore as defined in the Chandernagore Municipal Act, 1955; Short title, extent and commence- ment. 241 The West Bengal Central Valuation Board Act, 1978.
