(1) The Registrar shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Syndicate, witu the approval of the Chancellor, for such period and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (2) The Registrar may resign his office by writing under Ms hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. (3) If the Registrar is for any reason temporarily unable to exercise the powers or perform the duties of his office, the Vice-Chancellor may appoint a person, temporarily for a period not exceeding six months, to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Registrar.
