(1) In making Ordinances, the Syndicate shall consider the views of (i) the Boards of Studies when such Ordinances affect the appointment and duties of the examiners ; and (ii) the Academic Council (a) when prescribing the qualifications of Teachers, (b) when they affect the conduct or standard of examinations, or (c) when prescribing the conditions of residence of students. How Ordinances to be made. (2) Subject to any direction of the Chancellor as herein- after stated, all Ordinances made by the Syndicate shall have effect from such date as it may direct. Every Ordinance shall be submitted as soon as may be to the Chancellor and the Senate and shall be considered by the Senate at its next succeeding meeting. The Senate shall have the power, by a resolution passed by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present at such a meeting, to cancel or modify any such Ordinance. (3) The Chancellor may direct that the operation of any Ordinance shall be suspended until such time as the Senate has had an opportunity of considering the same.
