(1) When, under lhis Aci or lhe rules or lhe regulations made lhereunder, lhe expenses of any measures Laken or work executed or thing done by or under the order of any municipal authority or any officer of the Corporalion orany Migisirale are payable by any person, the Municipal Commissioner may, if he thinks fil and with the approval of lhe Mayor- in-Council, notwithstanding anything io the contrary contained in Lhis Acl or lhe rules or die regulations made thereunder enter iino an agreement wiih such person for payment of the sumc in such instalments and at sueh intervals as will secure the recovery of lhe whole amount due with interest ihereon at such rale of interest as may be determined by the Stale Government from lime to lime within such period, nol exceeding six years, as the Corporalion may determine. (2) Every such agreement shall provide for adequate security against the whole amount due from such person.
