Corporalion, llie following provisions shall have cffect, namely:— (a) lhe Municipal Commissioner may, in his discretion, dispose of, by sale or otherwise, any movable properly belonging to [he Corporalion nol exceeding in value in each instance five thousand rupees or such higher amouni as lhe Corporalion may determine by regulaiiotis, or lei oul or hire any movable property or grant a lease of any immovable property belonging to ihe Corporation including-any righ[ of gathering and taking fruits and llie like for a period not exceeding one year at a lime; (b) the Municipal Commissioner may, with llie sanction of" ihe Mayor-in-Council,— (i) dispose of, by sale or otherwise, any movable property belonging lo Ihe Corporation the value or which does not exceed ten thousand rupees; or (ii) grant a lease (olher than a lease in perpetuity) of any immovable properly belonging to the Corporation; or (iii) sell or grant a lease in perpetuity of any immovable property belonging io Ihe Corporation the value of which does not execcd fifty thousand rupees or the annual renl of which does not exceed three thousand rupees; (c) in cases nut covered by clausc (a) or clause (b), the Municipal Commissioner may, with the sanction of lhe Corporation, lease, sell, let oul on hire or otherwise transfer any property, movable or immovable, belonging to the Corporalion; (d) the consideration for which any immovable property may be sold, leased or otherwise transferred shall nol be less lhan lhe value al which such immovable properly could be sold, leased or otherwise transferred in normal and fair competition; (e) the sanction of the Mayor-in-Council or of lhe Corporation under the aforesaid clauses may be given eilher generally for any class of cases or specially for any particular case; (0 subjeci to [he conditions for limiiaiions specified elsewhere in other provisions of, lhis Act, lhc foregoing provisions of ihis section shall apply to every disposal of property foai-noic 2 on page 573, tinIA The Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980. 851 Wesl Ben, Acl Xlll or
