(1) An improvement scheme may provide for all or any or lhe following mailers, namely:— (a) the acquisition by agreement or under lhe Land Acquisition t af 1894. (2) Where any land is designated in an improvement schcme as subjeel lo acquisition or is required by the sclieme io be kepi as an open space, then, if ai the expiration of ten years from the dale of sanction or the scheme by the State Government under siib-seciion (2) of section 530 the land is noi acquired by the Municipal Commissioner, ihe owner or the land may serve on lhe Municipal Commissioner a noiice requiring his interest in the land to be so acquired. (3) If iJie Municipal Commissioner fails to acquire lhe land wilhin a period of six months from the receipt of the noticc, the improvement scheme shall have effect after the expiration of the said period as if the land were nol designated as subjeel to acquisition by the Municipal Commissioner or were nol required to be kept as an open space.
