Where any building, or wall, or anything affixed thereto, or any well, lank, reservoir, pool, depression, or excavation, or any bank or tree, is, in the opinion of the Municipal Commissioner, in a ruinous slate for warn of sufficient repairs, protection or enclosure, and is a nuisance or is dangerous to persons passing by or dwelling or working in Lhe neighbourhood, the Municipal Commissioner may by noticc in writing require the owner or part-owner or person claiming to be Lhe owner or pari-owner thereof or failing any of them ihc occupier thereof to remove the same or may require him to repair, proLccL or enclose the same in such manner as he ihinks necessary; and if lhe danger is, in the opinion of the Municipal Commissioner, imminent, he shall, forthwith lake such steps as he thinks necessary to aven lhe same.
