(1) The Municipal Commissionershiili be the principal cxecuiivc officer of lhe Corporation and shall, subject to the supervision and control of the Mayor,— (a) exercise the powers and perform lhe functions specifically conferred or imposed upon him by or under this Act or by any oiher law in force forthe lime being; (b) assign the duties, and supervise and control the acts and proceedings, of all officers and employees of lhe Corporation.
