(I) All public streets, squares, parks and gardens in '[Kolkaia] including the soil, subsoil, side-drains, Toolpallis. pavements, siones and oilier materials, and all erections, materials, implements, trees and other things provided therein shall VCM in the Corporation: Provided tliat no public street, square, park or garden which immediately before the commencement of this Act vested in Lhe Government, the Board of Trustees for the Port of '[KolkataJ, or ihe Board or Trustees for the Improvement of '[Kolkata] shall, unless so directed by the authority competent to take a.decision in ihis behalf, vest in the Corporation by virtue of this sub-section. (2) The Slate Government may by noiificaiion transfer lo or lake over from lhe Corporation for a limited period for ihe purpose or proper maintenance or development any public street, square, park or garden, (3) The Corporation shall I rails fer to lhe Board of Trustees for the Improvement of '[KolkaiaJ or Lo any olher statutory body such public sireel, square or other land as the provisions ofsection 54 of ihe'LKolkataj Improvement Acl, 1911 require or as the Slate Governmeni may direct, as the case may be. (4) Any street laid out or altered by the Board of Trustees for lhe Improvement of '[Kolkata] or by any olher statutory body shall vest or revest in the Corporation in acccrdanec wiLh Lhe provisions of seciion 65 of did '[Kolkata] Improvement Acl, 1911 or if so directed by the State Governmeni, in such olher statutory body, as the case may be. (5) The Corporation shall maintain a register in such form and in such manner as may be prescribed and such register shall separately include a list of all public streets, squares, parks and gardens vested in the Corporalion or in such olher staiuiory bodies. (6) The Corporalion may publish in such form and in such manner as may be prescribed the contents of sucli register for sale to the public.
