(1) The Municipal Commissioner shall lake measures Tor securing— (a) the daily surface-cleansing of all streets in '[Kolkata] and removal of sweepi ng therefrom; (b) the removal of lhc contents of all receptacles and depots and of the accumulations at all placcs provided or appointed by lhe Corporation under the provisions of ihis Aci for the temporary deposit of rubbish, trade refuse, carcasses of dead animals and cxcrcmenlilious and polluted mailer; (c) the removal or spcciul wasles and hazardous wastes and oilier solid wastes from premises. (2) The Municipal Commissioner may, by public notice, issue directions as lo the lime at which, the manner in which, and lhe conditions subject to which, any matter referred to in sub-sec lion (I) may be removed along a street or may be deposited or otherwise disposed of. (3) The Municipal Commissioner shall make adequate provision for preventing, receptacles, depots, places, vehicles and vessels referred lo in Hi is Chapter from becoming sources of nuisance.
