Extension of Act in other areas and inclusion or exclusion of areas within or from Kolkaia—Sections 623, 624.) (b) any other municipiIjiy us defined in lhe Bengal Municipal Acl, 1932 and in lhe neighbourhood of ;LKolkata], and (c) any Government Township as defined in [he West Bengal Governmeni Townships (Extension of Civie Amenities) Act, 1975, or any area under a notified area authority or a town committee, by whatever name called, and in the neighbourhood of '[Kolkataj. 623, (1) The Commissioners of a municipality or lhe Administrator of a Governmeni Township or the Nolified area authority or (he (own committee of an area specified in lhe noiification under section 622 or any inhabitants or rate-payers Ihercormay, if they object lo such intention of the State Government declare by such notification, submit their objections in writing Lo lhe Slale Governmeni wiihin such period as may be specified in such notification; and lhe Slale Government shall lake such objections into consideration. (2) When the period as aforesaid has expired and Lhe Slale Government has considered the objeclions (if any) under sub-section (1), the Stale Governmeni may, by notification, extend to such municipality or Government Township or area or losuch part thereof specified in such notification all or any of lhe provisions of lhis Aci, subjcel to modifications and restrictions (if any) specified therein or subject Lo such olher modifications or restrictions (if any) as lhe Slale Government may Ulink fit and specify therein or without any modification or restriction.
