Subject to the other provisions ofthis Act, Lhc appointing authority in respecL of Lhe posts of officers and employees constituting Lhc establishment of the Corporalion shall be,— (a) in Lhc case of category A posts, Ihe Municipal Commissioner, (b) in the case oT category B poll's, a Joint Municipal Commissioner, and , (c) in the case or category C posts and category D posls, such officer or officers or the Corporation as lhe Municipal Commissioner may, wiih the prior approval oflhe Mayor-in- Council, designate in ihis behalf.
