The Slate Government or lhe auditors appointed under seciion 160 shall— (a) forward lo the Mayor-in-Council information on any material impropriety or irregularity which may be observed in lhe expenditure, or in the recovery of money due io the Corporalion, or in the accounls of lhe Corporation; (b) forward to lhc Mayor-in-Council information on any loss or wasle of money or other property owned hy or vested in the Corporalion which has been caused by neglect or misconduct and may forward lhe names of the persons who in Iheir opinion, arc directly or indirectly responsible for such loss or wasie; (e) furnish to lhe Mayor-in-Council such information concerning the progress of audit as lhe Mayor-in-Council may from Lime lo Lime require; Sub-seclion (I) was substituted for lhe original by s. 9 of the Calcutta Municipal Corporalion (Amendment) Acl, 2001 (Wcsl Hen.
