(1) There shall be a Director of Extension who shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University responsible to the Vice- Chancellor. He shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the Board and the Chancellor in accordance with the Statutes made in this behalf. (2) The pay, allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Director of Extension shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) The Director of Extension shall be responsible for the execution of agricultural extension programme drawn up under this Act.
