CO There shall be a Director of Research who shall be a whole- time officer of the University. He shall .be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the Board and the Chancellor in accordance with the Statutes made in this behalf. The Director of Research shall be responsible for carrying out the Research Programmes. (2) The salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Director of Research shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) The Director of Research shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by the Statutes.
