- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Anti- Short tide profiteering Act, 1958
- S. 2In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in Death
- S. 3The section allows the State Government to set maximum or minimum prices for scheduled articles by dealers or purchasers.
- S. 4Section penalizes profiteering in scheduled articles with imprisonment, fine, or both, and forfeits the article.
- S. 5Section penalizes dealers for refusing to sell scheduled articles at fixed prices and buyers for purchasing below the minimum price.
- S. 6Section 6 mandates dealers to submit stock returns, maintain records, display fixed prices, and provide information and documents upon request.
- S. 7Section 7 authorizes police officers to search and seize records if they suspect a contravention of the Act.
- S. 8Section 8 penalizes dealers for non-compliance with anti-profiteering provisions or obstructing officers with imprisonment up to six months and/or fines.
- S. 9(1) All offences punishable under this Act shall be cognizance cognizable
- S. 10Section 10 protects public servants from legal action for good faith actions under the West Bengal Anti-profiteering Act, 1958.
- S. 11The West Bengal Anti-profiteering Act allows the State Government to add more daily use items to the schedule with central government approval.
- S. 12Section 12 ensures that pre-existing or future price control orders for essential commodities apply in West Bengal despite conflicting provisions in the West Bengal Anti-profiteering Act.
- S. 13(1) The West Bengal Anti-profiteering Ordinance, West Ben 1958 is hereby repealed
