( 1) Subject to the provisions of section 8,— (a) the Chairperson shall hold office for a term of five years or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier; (b) a Member other than the Chairperson shall hold office for a term of five years or until he attains the age of sixty-two years, whichever is earlier. (2) (a) The Chairperson shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term of five years or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier, and such re-appointment shall be made in the same manner as provided in sub-section (4) of section 5. (b) A Member other than the Chairperson shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term of five years or until he attains the age of sixty-two years, whichever is earlier, and such re-appointment shall be made in the same manner as provided in sub-section (5) of section 5.
