Whoever while suffering from an infectious, contagious, or loathsome disorder- (a) makes or offers for sale an article of food or drink, for human consumption or a medicine or drug, or 1- Subs. by U.P. Act No. 12 of 1964. 2- Subs. by section 72 of chapter III of U.P. Act No. 12 of 1994. 3- Subs. by section 151 ibid. 4- Subs. by section 32 of chapter III of U.P. Act No. 26 of 1995. [The [Uttar Pradesh]5 Municipalities Act, 1916] [Section 282-284] (b) willfully touches any such article, medicine or drug when exposed for sale by others, or (c) takes any part in the business of washing or carrying soiled clothes, shall be liable upon conviction to a fine which may extend to [fifty] rupees.
