[***]1 [Delimitation of wards 11-A (1) For the purpose of election of members of a municipality, every municipal area shall be divided into territorial constituencies to be known as wards in such manner that the population in each ward shall, so far as practicable, be the same throughout the municipal area. (2) Each ward shall be represented by one member in the municipality.]2 Delimitation Order 11-B (1) The State Government shall by order, determine,- [(a) the number of wards into which each municipal area shall be divided for purposes of election;]3 (b) the extent of each ward; (c) [***]4 [(d) the number of seats to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Backward Classes and the women.]5 (2) The draft of the Order under sub-section (1) shall be [published in the manner prescribed for a period of not less than seven days.]7
