In all [Central Acts or Regulations made by the Central Government]3 and all [Uttar Pradesh]1 Acts, heretofore passed and now in force, and every appointment, [or statutory instrument]4 made or issued thereunder, all references to the [North-Western Provinces and Oudh]5 shall be construed as referring to [Uttar Pradesh]1 [* * *]6 all references to the [North-Western Provinces]5 and to the [Province of Oudh]5 respectively, shall be construed as referring to the corresponding territories as comprised in [Uttar Pradesh]1 [***]6 and all references to the Lieutenant-Governor of the [North-Western Provinces]5 or the Chief Commissioner of Oudh or the Lieutenant-Governor of the [North-Western Provinces]5 and Oudh in Council shall be construed as referring to the [State Government]7 of [Uttar Pradesh].1 [Application to ordinances and regulations under the Government of India Act, 1935
