Any person, who, not being registered under the provisions of this Act, assumes or uses the name or title of a registered nurse, mid-wife, assistant midwife, [an auxiliary nurse-midwife, or health visitor]3 or uses any name, title, addition description, signboard or other such thing implying that such person is a registered nurse, midwife, assistant midwife, [an auxiliary nurse- midwife, or health visitor]3 as the case may be, shall be punishable, on conviction, with a fine which may in the case of a first offence, extend to fifty rupees and, in the case of a second or any subsequent offence, to three hundred rupees.
