27. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act or the statutes made in this behalf the Executive Council may by resolution, constitute such standing committees or appoint ad-hoc conumittees for such purposes and with such powers as it may think fit for and exercising any power or discharging any function of the University or for enquiring into, reporting or advising upon any matter relating to the University. (2) The Executive Council may co-opt persons to a standing committee or an ad-hoc committee as it considers suitable and may permit them to attend the meetings of the Executive Council.
