( I ) This Act may be called the Tripura Prevention of Defacemen1 of Property Act, L976. npplicnllon. (2) It extends to the whole of Tripum. (3) It shall apply in the first instance to Muncipal limits of Agartala town, b u ~ the Stnte Government mdy, from time to time by notification in the Olficial Gazette, apply it to such other local area or arcas as may be specified in the notification.
