Section 10

(1) (a) The President of the Board shall be appointed by the State Government

(1) (a) The President of the Board shall be appointed by the State Government. (b) The President shall hold office for a term of 1[five] years but his services may be extended for a period not exceed- ing one year. (c) The President may resign his office by giving notice in writing to the State Government. (d) The other terms and conditions of service of the President shall be such as may be desired by State Government. (2) It shall be the duty of the President to see that the provisions of this Act and the regulations made thereunder are faithfully observed, and he shall have all powers necessary for this purpose. (3) If any emergency arises out of the administrative business of the Board which in the opinion of the President, requires that immediate action should be taken, the President may take such action as he deems necessary but he shall report his action to the State Government and to the Board at its next meeting.
