(1) The Academic Council shall have the power to Regulations, make Regulations subject to the provisions of this Act, and such Regulations may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely: (i) the encouragement of co-operation and reciprocity among schools; (ii) the admission of students to the University or prescribing the examinations to be recognised as equivalent to University examinations; (iii) the University courses and examinations and the conditions on which students shall be admitted to examinations for the degrees, diplomas, certificates and titles of the University; (iv) the grant of exemptions. (2) All Regulations shall have effect from such date as the Academic Council may direct. CHAPTER - IX MISCELLANEOUS
