(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Academic & Administrative Head and the Principal Executive Officer of the University and shall exercise general control over its affairs. He/She shall be a whole-time official of the University. (2) The Vice-Chancellor shall be a person of eminence having rich administrative/skill education implementation /academic experience. (3) In the first instance, the Vice-Chancellor of the University shall be appointed by the Chancellor of the University. (4) For later instances, the Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Board of Governors. (5) The Vice-Chancellor shall not be removed from his office except by an order of the Board of Governors passed on the ground of willful omission or refusal to carry out the provisions of this Act, or abuse of the powers vested in him and after due enquiry ordered by the Board of Governors.
