Any person who - (a) Commits touting or malpractice shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both; (b) abets an offence of touting or malpractice under this Act shall, notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Penal Code, 1860, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both; (c) attempt to commit an offence of touting or malpractice under this Act shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, Prohibition of malpractice and touting, etc. Penalties.
