Omitted by Act No. 50 of 1976. Powers and duties of the Vice- Chancellor. 10 [Act No. 24 of 1963] or other body who or which in the ordinary course would have dealt with the matter. (7) Where any action taken by the Vice-Chancellor under sub-section (6) affects any person in service of the University to his disadvantage, such person may prefer an appeal to the Board within thirty days from the date on which such person has notice of the action taken. 12[(8) The Vice-Chancellor shall give effect to the decisions of the authorities of the University taken in accordance with the powers conferred by or under this Act.] (9) The Vice-Chancellor shall be responsible for a close co-ordination and integration of teaching, research, and extension. (10) The Vice-Chancellor shall exercise such other powers as may be prescribed.
