Substituted by Act No.50 of 1976. [Act No.24 of 1963] 9 provisions of this Act or abuses the powers vested in him and if it appears to the Chancellor that the continuance of the Vice-Chancellor in office is detrimental to the interests of the University, the Chancellor may, 11[XXX] by order, remove the Vice-Chancellor, after giving him an opportunity of showing cause against the action proposed to be taken in regard to him.
