(1) Any casual vacancy arising in the office of a nominated member of the Board by reason of his death, resignation, removal or disability or otherwise, before the expiry of his term of office, shall be filled up in the manner as may be prescribed within a period not exceeding six months. (2) Any person nominated under sub-section (1) shall hold office for the residue period of the term of the member in whose vacancy he has been nominated.
