The 109[Survey officer] may require, by general notice or summons, the attendance of all land holders and all persons interested in such land, person or through an authorised agent acquainted with the facts and able to answer material questions, and the presence of village servants and officers concerned, who are, legally or by usage, bound to perform their functions by virtue of their offices and services and also take from them such assistance in the operation of survey as may not be inconsistent with their dignity and position.
