- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Open University Act, 2002
- S. 2In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- Definitions
- S. 3(1) There shall be a University by the name ‘Tamil Nadu Open University’

- S. 27Section 27 establishes a Planning Board to advise on university planning, development, and review education and research standards.
- S. 28There shall be a Board of Studies attached to each school
- S. 29Section 29 outlines the constitution and powers of additional University authorities as prescribed by statutes.

- S. 39The funds and all moneys of the University shall be managed in such manner as may be prescribed
