Application of Workmen’s Compensation Act, 1923 to manual workers. ----- The provisions of the Workmen‟s Compensation Act, 1923 (Central Act VIII of 1923) and the rules made from time to time thereunder, shall mutatis mutandis apply to manual workers employed in any scheduled employment to which this Act applies, and for that purpose they shall be deemed to be workmen within the meaning of that Act; and in relation to such workmen, employer shall mean where a Board makes payment of wages to any such workmen, the Board, and in any other case, the employer as defined in this Act.
