Cognizance of offences

Cognizance of offences. ----- No Court shall take cognizance of any offence made punishable by a scheme or of any abetment thereof except on a complaint in writing made by an Inspector or by a person specially authorized in this behalf by the Board or Government within three months of the date on which the alleged commission of the offence came to the knowledge of the Inspector : Provided that if the offence consists of disobeying a written order made by the Inspector, complaint thereof may be made within six months of the date on which the offence is alleged to have been committed.
