Upon the extension of this Act to m y town or functions of place under sub-section (3) of aection 1 the s[State Commisei~ner Or Deputy Comnli- Government] shall appoint persons by name or by ssioner in muf- official designation to perform the functions of the assd.1 Commissioner '[or the Deputy Commissioner] under this Act. The words "Provincial Government" were substituted for the words "Loon1 Government" by the Adaptation Order of 1037 and the word "&ate" wes substituted for "Provinoid" by the Adaptation Order of 1960.
