(1) In making ordinances, the Syndicate shall consult – (a) the Boards of Studies when such ordinances affect the appointment and duties of examiners; and (b) the Academic Senate when they affect the conduct or standard of examinations or the conditions of residence of students; (2) All ordinances made by the Syndicate shall have effect from such date as the Syndicate may direct and every ordinance so made shall be submitted, as soon as may be, to the Chancellor and the Academic Senate and shall be considered by the Academic Senate at its next succeeding meeting. (3) The Chancellor may direct that the operation of any ordinance shall be suspended until such time as the Academic Senate has had an opportunity of considering the same.
