In section 18 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2)- Amendment of section 18. (1) under the heading ―Class I-Ex-officio‖ for clauses (e) and (f), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely :- ―(e) Chief Engineer (Agricultural Engineering) ; (f) Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops‖ ; (2) under the heading ―Class I-Other Members‖ (a) in clause (g), the word ―and‖ occurring at the end, shall be omitted ; (b) for clause (h), the following clauses shall substituted, namely:- ―(h) one member elected by the member of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu from among themselves : Provided that no member so elected shall be disqualified for being a member of the Legislative Assembly ; and (j) two members representing agriculture, horticulture, agricultural engineering, agro processing, food processing or agro exports, nominated by the Government.‖ 37 ACT NO.45 OF 2000 An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Act, 1971.
