(1) Any person authorised by the Central Government or the Board, including their officers and employees at sites, may enter and inspect at all reasonable hours,-- (a) any facility or mine licensed under this Act; (b) any mine, premises, plant, facility or land or any vehicle, vessel or aircraft, where he has reason to believe that work is being carried out for the purpose of or in connection with-- (i) the production and processing of any prescribed substance, radioactive substance or substances from which a prescribed substance can be obtained; or (ii) the production, development or use of nuclear energy including manufacturing of prescribed equipment, systems, structures and components of a facility. (2) The manner of carrying out inspection and verification for ascertaining compliance with the provisions of this Act, the rules or regulations made thereunder, any directions issued, or the terms of a licence and safety authorisation, shall be such as may be prescribed.
