The term of office of the non official members of the board shall be for five years, however the members may hold the office at the pleasure of the State Government. The State Government may if it thinks fit remove any member of the Board before the expiry of his term of office. Or The State Government may on his own motion or on resolution passed by a majority of 2/3rd of the members constituting Marketing Board, remove a Chairman or Vice-chairman or any member of the Marketing Board for misconduct or neglect of or in capacity to perform his duty and on such removal he shall not be selected as a Chairman or Vice- chairman or as a Member for a period of 6 years from the date of such removal.
