(J) Subject to any rules made by the State Government in this behalf', an Power and duties Inspector may, within the local limits for which he is appo inted-e- of the Inspectors. (a) enter, at all the resasonable times and with such assistance as he thinks fit, any place which is or which he has reason to believe, is an estab- lishment; . make such examination of the premises and of any prescribed registers, records and notices and take on the spot or otherwise record statement of any person, as he may deem necessary, for carrying out the purposes of this Act; , exercise such other powers, as may_ be prescribed or may be necessary for carrying out the purpose of this Act: Provided that no one shall be required under this section to answer any question or ghre any statement tending to incriminate himself. (2) For the purpose of investigation of offences under this Act, an Inspector shall have the same powers as an Officer-in-'charge of a police station has under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 for investigation of cognizable offences except that he shall not have the power of arrest; .
