Director Survey & Research 100% by Promotion (i) M.Sc. or M. Tech. or M.Sc. (Tech.) in Geology or Applied Geology from a University or Institution established by law in India or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. (ii) 10 years' field experience in Geological or Hydrogeological studies including at least 5 years' experience in ground water investigation. Or (i) Must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering of a University established by law in India or a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering of a Foreign University or Institution declared by Government to be equivalent to a degree of University established by law in India. (ii) Must also have a post graduate diploma in Water Development Resources or Hydrology. (iii) 10 years' experience in Blasting or Drilling work (Experience in drilling for at least three years must be on a post of the rank equivalent to Superintending Engineer). Superintending Hydrogeologist. In case Superintending Hydrogeologist is not available or is in- eligible or unsuitable then Superintending Engineer. 3 years' experience on the posts mentioned in Column No. 5 Upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 40 years in case of direct recruitment.
