Composition and strength of the Service

Composition and strength of the Service.- (1) The Service shall consist of the following wings namely:- (i) Engineering Wing. (ii) Research and Survey Wing. The nature of posts included in each wing of the Service shall be as specified in Column 2 of the Schedule. Constitution of the Service.- The Service shall consist of – (a) All persons holding substantively, at the commencement of these rules, the posts specified in the Schedule; and (b) All persons appointed to the Service after such commencement in accordance with the provisions of these Rules except those appointed under Rule 27.
