Notwithstanding as aforesaid and notwithstanding the expiry of its term of office on the 30th day of June, 1955 the District Board, Bhim shall continue to perform the functions and discharge the duties of a District Board as if it were a District Board deemed to have been formed under the Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 11 of 1954) and as if its term were extended under the first proviso to Section 26 of the said Act from the first day of July, 1955, till the establishment of a new District Board under Section 5 of the said Act, for the district in which the Bhim area is situated
