The State Government may by notification in the official gazette add to, amend or cancel any of the items of agricultural produce specified in the Schedule. 1 40.A- "Power to grant exemption from market fee- If the State Government is satisfied that it is expedient in the public interest so to do, it may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt, whether prospectively or retrospectively, any Licencee or class of Licencees specified in the notification from payment to market fee payable on any agricultural produce bought or sold by him in the market area without any condition or with such condition as may be specified in the notification."
