() Subject to the provisions of this At, the Senate shall exercise Powers and to review from time to time, the broad policies and programmes of the University and to suggest measures for the improvement and the developmet of the Universty : functions of the Senate PUNJAB GOVT GAZ (EXTRA). (2) The tenure of the members of the Senate. other than the ex-officio members. shall be two years. (3) A member. other than the ex-officio member. may resign by a letter. addressed to the Chancellor. (4) The fellowship of any member, who ceases to hold office by virtue of which, he became such a member, shall stand cancelled. (S) When a vacancy occurs in the Senate by resignation or death of a member or otherwise. the vacancy shall be filled up in the same manner, in which such a member had become the member of the Senate.
