(a) to aid and advise the State Government in discharge of its functions and responsibilities under this Act; (b) to frame broad policy guidelines for promoting efficient, effective, responsive and accountable policing in accordance with the law; (c) to review and evaluate organizational performance of Police Service in the State; and (d) to identify shortcomings regarding infrastructure and equipment in police.
