The police shall have an Intelligence Wing for collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of intelligence and a separate Crime Investigation Wing for collection, collation and analysis of criminal intelligence and for investigating heinous crimes with inter- district or inter-state ramifications, major economic offences, cyber- crime or other cases of serious nature.
