In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-- (a) "the Act" means the Punjab Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads Act, 1961; (b) all other words and expressions used in this Act but not defined shall have the same meanings as are assigned to them in the Punjab Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads Act, 1961.
