Provision of places and appliances for disinfection. - 1[The committee may, and when the State Government so directs, shall]- (a) provide proper places, with all necessary attendants and apparatus, for the disinfection of conveyances, clothing, bedding or other articles which have been exposed to infection ; and (b) cause conveyances, clothing or other articles brought for disinfection to be disinfected free of charge or subject to such charges as may be ap- proved by it, and (c) direct any clothing, bedding, or other articles likely to retain infection to be disinfected or destroyed, and shall give compensation for any articles destroyed under this sub-section.
