Power to require hedges and trees to be trimmed. - The committee may, by notice, require the owner or occupier of any land to cut or trim within three days the hedges growing thereon and bordering on any street or any branches of trees growing thereon which overhang any street and obstruct the same or cause danger, or which so overhang any well tank or other source from which water is derived for public use as to be likely to pollute the water thereof 2[or are in any way offensive or injurious to health.] Section 119
